Our Paediatric First Aid courses are specialised training programs focused on providing immediate and appropriate care for infants and children during medical emergencies. Furthermore, it is essential training for all parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone looking after young children and babies. Our experienced instructors follow resuscitation guidelines and provide hands-on practice with continuous support and feedback. Thereby preparing participants for the real-life stressful emergencies they may face. Moreover we create an enjoyable, interactive and fun learning style that fosters competence and confidence in first aid skills.
Which Course is needed ?
A 2-day Paediatric Course
Paediatric First Aid (12 Hours)
A 2-Day course required for registering as a Childminder, Nanny or acting as a "fully" qualified First Aider for your child care organisation.
Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
This 1-day course teaches first aid to individuals looking after babies and children. As such it teaches participants the skills, knowledge and confidence to respond to a range of accidents, injuries and emergencies. Thereby making it suitable for those with a basic duty of care but do not require a certificate for OFSTED and EYFS registration or there is a "fully" qualified First Aider already on site.
There are two levels of courses available dependent on the level of certification required by an organisation.
Level 3 CPD Accredited (VTQ)
This qualification from Protrainings is a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) certification. Importantly, it is fully accepted by OFSTED and EYFS as well as being sufficient for most companies and organisations. Additionally it is aligned to Skills for Health, making it suitable for any healthcare industry.
Level 3 OFQUAL Regulated Course (TQUK)
Participants undertake this Protraining course as a regulated program gaining certification from the accrediting body TQUK. Also, some schools, nurseries, and children's organisations need this certification for their own regulatory bodies or to qualify as a Pediatric First Aid Instructor for another authorising body.

Paediatric First Aid course
This 2-day course teaches participants about more extensive accidents and illness for babies and children. Essentially, participants gain either CPD or TQUK accreditation through our authorising body Protraining uk. Thereby ensuring it meets the necessities of any organisations that are OFSTED and EYFS regulated. Additionally it meets the requirements for a 12-hour first aid course for infants and children needed for registering as a childminder or for working in a childcare or school setting.
Importantly the training will include both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice to ensure participants are confident and competent in providing care to infants and children during emergencies

All our workplace courses meet the HSE requirements, whilst our Paediatric courses are in line with OFSTED regulations.
Furthermore, all the courses meet the approval of the organisation Protrainings uk, who are our accrediting centre. They provide VTQ(Vocational Training Qualifications) and accredited qualifications from an Awarding Organisation TQUK.
Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing the course, participants will gain a deeper understanding and increased awareness of first aid treatment, and CPR. Importantly, enabling them to effectively handle accidents with an infant and child and to respond promptly in emergency situations.
Furthermore participants will become COMPETENT hence CONFIDENT Paediatric First Aiders. Importantly, dependent on the level of course taken enabling them to provide Paediatric First Aid.
How Many Can Attend Training?
We limit all our Paediatric First Aid Courses classes to a maximum of 12 participants. Thereby guaranteeing maximum involvement of all attendees in the important practical aspects of the course.

Course Duration
We offer 2 versions of Paediatric First Aid training courses:
Paediatric First Aid: A 12-hour/2-day training course
Emergency Paediatric First Aid: A 6-hour/1-day training course.
Blended options:
PFA- A 12-hour course with 1 day completed online.
EPFA - A 4-hour course with half a day done online.
Certification
Participants will be issued with certificates of attendance valid for a period of 3 years.
Learners will complete an end-of-course knowledge assessment and practical assessments allowing a demonstration of their understanding.
These courses meet Ofsted and Awarding Organisations requirements and are available as ProTrainings CPD or Regulated Qualification
