This will provide an introduction to the risk assessing process and can be added to the mandatory Health and Safety training course to provide staff with an ability to recognise hazards and act to prevent accidents.

Risk Assessing in Healthcare
This course will provide an introduction to risk assessing, in accordance with the awareness course, but will then provide more in-depth risk assessing for resident or patients. It will provide instruction and practical’s on how to write and evaluate risk assessments that are related to patient care, so is useful for any Nurse, Therapist or Healthcare Manager who has responsibility for assessing risks.

The induction course meets the requirements of HSE for organisations/companies to provide risk assessment training as an induction for their staff.

How Many can Attend Training?
We will run The Risk Assessment Awareness course for a maximum of 15 participants in conjunction with a Health and Safety Awareness course
We will run the Risk Assessment course for a maximum 12 participants, as this allows for individual supervision in writing the RA’s
Who will Conduct the Training?
This course will be conducted by managers experienced in health care management, who have the NEBOSH Health and Safety and Fire certification. They have utilised their extensive experience in staff and patient safety and have helped a number of care facilities reach an outstanding rating by educating and mentoring staff in these important aspects of care and management.

A safe organisation should have systems in place whereby link staff oversee any health and safety procedures and protocols and managers lead on their implementation, reviews and risk assessment processes. There is a level 2 course that Protraining.uk provide which teaches the 5-step approach to risk assessing .This course can be taken on line or through Safe-Sure Care as a classroom session.
